At this time, airlines are stating that they will be offering refunds in the event flights are cancelled or delayed, with the option of re-booking within 30 days. We would advise all travellers to contact their airline in the first instance, as many airlines are providing accommodation and compensation for additional travel costs.
Please note that under the Maven Travel policy we will consider claims for the difference in cost for rearranged flights that exceed the amount of refund of the original flight. If the flight is cancelled or delayed we will also consider claims for accommodation under the Cancellation Cover of the policy.
There is no cover in respect of any compensatory amount for travel delay.
We would also advise all clients claiming for additional travel costs to retain all documentation as you will be required to support a claim.
